Apia AccommodationSearching for hotels in Apia ( Samoa) or Apia accommodation? Apia, on the island of Upolu, in Samoa, may be the capital, but, like many island capitals, it doesn’t quite fit the image of what one expects from the title. That doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to see though, and, especially if you’re looking for a less commercial pacific island break, then it’s well worth looking at. Author Robert Louis Stevenson spend a large part of the end of his life on the island, and, as such, his grave is a popular attraction, as is the museum dedicated to him, which houses many items from his life on the island. Worth a trip for nostalgic reasons, if nothing else! Apia Museum, on Beach Road, is another historic site worth a visit. Other than that, and strolling along the seafront, shopping at the fleamarket, the fish market, and the new market, for curios, traditional foods, and even kava, there aren’t much in the way of distractions – perfect if you’re looking for a real break. The yacht club does offer a pleasant afternoon’s diversion, even for those who don’t sail, and there’s a pub in the marina that serves good food, or try one of the other small restaurants, taverns, and cafes. There’s even a McDonalds, so if you do start missing civilization, that should take care of the cravings. Being such a small island, there aren’t many accommodation options, but the Hotel Millennia, and a few others, should give you enough choice to suit your needs, and your budget. - Browse the Apia Map or compare Apia accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs, Lodging & Hostels to Holiday & Caravan Parks.
