or Arco accommodation? Arco is a commune in the province of Trento in northeast Italy. The town is surrounded on one side by sheer limestone cliffs jutting up like a wall protecting it and its ancient hilltop castle. Arco is a famous venue for climbers all over Europe, in early September one of the World Cup climbing events is held here, attracting scores of climbers to watch or participate.
There is an excellent camp site in the town that has an Olympic size swimming pool and an indoor climbing wall. The town also has an array of bars, cafes and restaurants to suit your pocket. A stroll through the old town in the evening is a must, along with a visit to the Castle, but for climbers, walkers and mountain bikers, everything at every grade you ever wanted or may want can be found within a few kilometers of the town.
The popular activities in Arco include windsurfing on nearby Lake Garda, and rock climbing on the walls in the near of the city. Arco’s most ancient area is surrounded by medieval walls with many narrow alleys, small pizzerias and fountains to explore. Some of the town’s historic buildings include the lovely Collegiate Church, the Baroque Town Hall and The Giuliani Palace with its 18th Century porticoes.
