The Manai (Mare's Milk) Festival and Hedeng (River Lantern) Festival on the Nanhai Lake in the seventh lunar month are interesting cultural events. The city has many Chinese restaurants with tasty local cuisines, and a few bars and pubs can be found in Aerding Square, Swan Lake and Beifang.
