or Barrow-In-Furness accommodation? The town of Barrow in Furness is a historic one, with some of the sights dating back to the 12th century. It’s located in Cumbria, in the North West of England, and is reachable by train. Once there, walking will take you to most of the attractions, but there is also a local bus service. One of the main attractions in Barrow in Furness is the Cistercian Abbey, which dates back to 1123. A visit to the Dock Museum will expand on this, by providing visitors with the history of the town. The town also has beaches at Roanhead and Walney, and there’s also the South Lakes Wild Animal Park to explore. Strangley enough, this town is also home to Europe’s most advanced shipyard, on the Walney channel, and then, when you’ve walked, looked and explored, taste one of the local pies, which are the town specialty. - Browse the Barrow-In-Furness Map or compare Barrow-In-Furness accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
