The city is located approximately 47 miles to the north of Tulsa, and is situated quite close to the Oklahoma’s northern border with its neighbor, Kansas. Most of the city lies within Washington County, and it is why the city is also the county seat of Washington County.
There are a number of landmarks that can be seen in Bartlesville, and one of these is the Price Tower, which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. There is also the Bartlesville Community Center which was designed by William Wesley Peters, a student of Wright. The community center plays host to the OK MOZART International Festival, a music event that lasts for a week or so in June of every year. Other festivals celebrated in the city include the Sunfest, the Indian Summer Festival, and others that are held in various areas around the city.
