The commune is situated nearby are Les Chapelles, Mâcot-la-Plagne to the west, Landry to the northeast, Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Valezan to the north, Peisey-Nancroix to the east and Champagny-en-Vanoise to the south.
The main attraction in the commune is the world class ski resort known as Paradiski Ski Resorts which has three summits above an altitude of 3000m, 425 kms of runs, overall vertical drop of 53 290m, five snowparks, three boardercross, one half-pipe, one bobsleigh run, one ice climbing area and a speed skiing run. The ski resort is also equipped with a state of the art cable car known as the Vanoise Express Cablecar.
You can also visit the Forest of Plangagnant which stretches for many miles to the east while absorbing some of the most beautiful undulating countryside. There is also the Riders Republic which has outstandings chalets with spa and a ski resort which is also apart of the Paradiski. You can also enjoy activities like skiing, rafting swimming and golfing in the area.
