United Kingdom)
or Bideford accommodation? Do not let the small town of Bideford in north Devon’s size fool you. This little town on the River Torridge may be small, but it has plenty in the way of history and other attractions to keep any visitor busy. In fact, in the 16th century, Bideford was one of the most important ports in England, and it was also the site of the last hangings for witchcraft in Britain in 1682. The town of Westford Ho! Was built nearby, following the publication of a book by the same name, and is officially the only town in the country that contains an exclamation mark in its name. Another major attraction in Bideford is the Long Bridge, which was built in the 13th century, and which spans the River Torridge. It is particularly interesting because each of the supporting arches is a different size. - Browse the Bideford Map or compare Bideford accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
