or Blairgowrie accommodation? The town of Blairgowrie and Rattray, or just Blair as it is known to locals, is the second largest town in Perth and Kinross in Scotland. It is an old town, dating back to the 11th century, and was once a major jute producer. Now, however, it is home to many commuters from Perth and Dundee, and is a renowned grower of soft fruits. Skiing is a popular activity near the town, and the resort area of Glenshee is only a few miles to the north of the town. Another traditional game used to be played in the area, known simply as Rattray. This game is no longer played, but a remnant of the traditional ball game, a silver ball, donated by Sylvester Rattray in 1591 is on display in the Perth Museum and Art Gallery. Another attraction that you might consider visiting is the market, since Blairgowrie is the market town for the surrounding communities, and on market days, you will find a wide variety of local and other produce and items up for sale. - Browse the Blairgowrie Map or compare Blairgowrie accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
