or Bordentown accommodation? Bordentown, New Jersey is a city located under Burlington County. It was incorporated in 1825 and again in 1867. The first settler in Bordentown was an English Quaker named Thomas Farnsworth who settled in the area in 1682. Economic growth and expansion only started to be evident in the 1960s.
The city is home to a number of historical sites, from a number of historical places such as Hoagland’s Tavern, the Francis Hopkinson House, the Patience Wright House and the Glider House.
The city also enjoys a convenient location near the Six Flags Great Adventure and Sesame Place. Other attractions include the McGuire Air Force Base, Fort Dix and the Sovereign Bank Arena. Visitors can also visit the College of New Jersey, Rider University and Princeton University in the city. For shopping, eating or just hanging out, the town is home to a number of restaurants, shops and cocktail lounges.
The city holds a farmer’s market from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. that starts in the middle of July and showcases the various produce of Bordentown farmers.
