or Bosa accommodation? Bosa is an attractive commune in the province of Oristano of Sardinia, Italy. The town is stretched out along the lovely Temo River and extends out to the sea. The remains of the medieval fortress of the Castello Malaspina from the 12th century is the main highlight in the city. The church of Nostra Signora di Regnos should not be missed as here you will see some remarkable examples of 14th century Catalan style frescos. The 15th century town cathedral has a fine Baroque exterior and an interior decorated with marble statues and nineteenth century frescos.
A rich taste of Bosa can be experienced through its many wines. These include both white and red wines as well as a beer of exceptional quality. Bosa’s traditional dishes which include the spicy fish soup, cat shark in Garlic and Tomato sauce and the delectable Ricotta e abba'mele can be bought at local restaurants. The main event in the town is the annual January Carnival which has a strong Greco-Roman element to it. Parades and demonic costumes are featured in the fete. There is also a smaller carnival in February and the Nostra Signora di Regnos in September.
