This cathedral is interesting for its amazing frescos and wooden altar; a philharmonic hall, an opera house, a drama theatre and a puppet theater are hosted in beautiful buildings and function during the entire year for you to enjoy.
Away from the busy centre of the city, is the shady Sea Garden is a lovely place for you to take a stroll in hot summer days. The park is situated on a hill next to the coast, and is rich in flowers, trees and sculptures, a casino, a small zoo and an open-air theatre, which houses the annual International Folklore Festival, and Golden Orpheus Pop-Festival perform. A gorgeous forked staircase in greenness leads from the park down to the central beach of the city, where you may see a mixture of various alloys of magnetite sand. You may take a trip out of the city, just a few miles to explore some other attractions like the lake of Pomorie that is surrounded by salt-mines and balneo-resorts; the Atanassovo Lake that has a nestling site of many marsh and sea birds migrating from Gibraltar and the Bosphorus; the Bourgas Lake is a nestling site of pelicans, ibis, and herons and serves as a great resting place; the St. Anastassia Island has a well-preserved old church. The Mineral Water Baths can be visited also for you relaxation and leisure pleasures.
