or Camberley accommodation? The town of Camberley is relatively new, by English standards anyway. This little town in Surrey grew, in fact, around the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy, and has only been around since the Victorian era. Camberley is only around thirty miles from London’s Heathrow Airport, so it’s conveniently located, and with buses, trains and taxis, there should be no problem reaching Camberley. The central town attractions are all reachable on foot, and there are buses to the outlying areas. Of course, Sandhurst is an attraction here, but they only have open days every two years – so be sure to check! Then there’s the Royal Logistics Corp Museum to explore, and there are cruises on the Basingstoke Canal, that runs past Frimley Green. What’s not often remembered is that this town was originally called Cambridge, but changed its name, thanks to confusion with the university town of Cambridge.
