or Carnac accommodation? Carnac is a city beside the Gulf of Morbihan on the south coast of Brittany in the Morbihan department in north-western France. Carnac is renowned for the Carnac stones that are one of the most widespread Neolithic Menhir collections in the world. Carnac is founded on a narrow peninsula halfway between the medieval town Vannes and the seaside resort Quiberon. While in Carnac you may visit their famous attractions that are the site of more than 3,000 prehistoric standing stones. There are a number of camping grounds in the woods around Carnac, some clustered around various lakes such as the Étang du moulin du lac which is immediately to the west of the river Crac'h. Another place of interest for you to visit is the Chateau Des Caradeuc that has an intricate formal garden that features flowering beds of red and yellow shaped in pyramid, the centre of the garden boasts a gravel terrace. If you are a windsurfer, the Saint-Colomban beach located in Carnac-Plage is the perfect spot for you; this beach is very popular with windsurfers, as its position allows for the best use of strong winds from the West. Other beaches in the area provide equal access to the winds of the bay for you to enjoy. A local myth holds that a unicorn lives in the waters off of the city and in a cave near St. Malo. The main event in Carnac for you to attend is the Festival du Making-Of de Carnac.
