or Casa Grande accommodation? A rapidly growing city in Pinal County, Casa Grande is halfway between Tucson and Phoenix in the US state of Arizona. The city population is 41, 152 in the 2007 census. Casa Grande got its name from the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument located in Coolidge.
Founded in 1879 in the time of Arizona’s mining boom, Casa Grande became incorporated in 1915. A main railroad once terminated in the area, originally named ‘Terminus.’ Thompson Rodney Peart, one of Casa Grande’s founding fathers, has Peart Road, Peart Park and Peart Center all named after him.
Casa Grande is where Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort is found. This was the former spring training location of the San Francisco Giants. Attractions also include Red-Tail Books, Round Trip Bike shop, Church of Christ and Grace Church. The Casa Grande Public Library provides access to a volunteer reading club for elementary students aside from standard library services.
