or Champoluc accommodation? Champoluc is a division of Ayas in Val d'Ayas in Val d'Aosta. It is the chief center of Val d'Ayas and is positioned in the terminal part of the valley. It is an important and popular ski resorts situated in the area of Monterosa Ski.
The village of Champoluc features a large plateau called Crest, one of the most important points of the ski area and can be reached by a dedicated cable car. Stroll throughout the area cloaked by lush forests of pine and larch, equipped for walking in summer, while in winter to make contour slopes skiing. Together with Gressoney, Antagnod and Alagna Valsesia it forms the Monte Rosa Ski Area, all covered on the same lift pass. It caters for beginners to expert skiers. Snowboarders will like the wide slopes and freeriders will find plenty to do, there are little jumps here there and everywhere. Champoluc itself is a charming and unspoilt village with traditional architecture of the Roman era and the medieval period at the top of the Ayas valley speckled by a few modern structures. Off the Piste, enjoy heated outdoor pool, ice Rink, Cross country skiing, Heliskiing, Dog sledging, Ski-do rides, walking trails and Parapenting. Visit the village of Brusson, home to some of Europe's greatest cross-country skiing and a ski world cup venue, straddles the road which heads up the valley.
Champoluc is a city full of life and of irony that welcomes the tourist influx within the whole year, and it is also famous for the particular one "Festival of Champoluc" that every year changes theme and attracts varied personalities. Other annual events include Mountain Photo Festival, Filmontagna, the festival of mountain cinema, The Cervino Cine Mountain Film Festival, Verrès Carnival, Pont-Saint-Martin Carnival, and Valle d'Aosta Festival.
