It is reachable by rail and road from major centers, and walking through the town centre should get you to most of the attractions. Chepstow Castle, a Norman castle built alongside the river in 1067 is one of the top attractions in town, and the museum, which is opposite the castle, provides more insight into the town’s history. The Priory of St Mary, now the parish church, is another historic site of interest – this time built in 1071.
