United Kingdom)
or Cockermouth accommodation? The small English market town of Cockermouth is located at the North Western end of the Lake District, in Cumbria. While the town was inhabited, originally, by Romans, Normans and Vikings, at various stages during its history, much of the town centre is 18th and 19th century English, and it’s also renowned as the birthplace of famous people like William Wordsworth and Royal Fearon Fallows, an astronomer. When in Cockermouth, a visit to the partially ruined, but still inhabited, Norman castle is a must do, as is Wordsworth’s birthplace and the printing house. The Jennings Brewery also calls Cockermouth home, and there are regular tours that are open to the public. The Bitter End Pub and Brewery is a Cockermouth institution, favored for its local cuisine and real ale, and there are some interesting photographs of Cockermouth that you can look at while you sample them. - Browse the Cockermouth Map or compare Cockermouth accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
