or Dalaman accommodation? The town of Dalaman is located in a district by the same name, on the southwestern coast of Turkey, in an area known as Mugla. Dalaman itself is located on the coastal plain, which makes it perfect for a beach holiday. It’s also home to the Dalaman International Airport, which makes reaching the town, and other parts of this Turkish coastal area, very easy for visitors. One very interesting site to visit in Dalaman, aside from the beaches, is the Alexandria Train Station. Apparently, in 1905, a shipment of materials for the station was dispatched from France in 1905, en route to Egypt, on the order of Abbas Hilmi Pasha. Except that, the shipment never arrived in Egypt, but ended up in Dalaman instead. Rather than ship it to Egypt, which would have been costly, he decided to build the station anyway, complete with a section of track, in Dalaman.
