or Dublin (Georgia) accommodation? The City of Dublin is the county seat of Laurens County in Georgia, United States. The estimated population by 2005 is close to 17,000. The city began as a settlement named after the city with the same name in Ireland. However, before that settlement, the area was the home of the Native American Muskogee People or Creek People who were displaced as the settlement came to being. Although the town began with Irish settlers, it grew into a place of mixed ethnicities.
The economy of Dublin began as agricultural with cotton, soybean, and corn as the main products; then, the town grew and changed into an industrial and commercial town – it became known for products such as furniture, paper, and textiles.
The City of Dublin holds the annual St. Patrick’s Festival which is done for the whole month of March. Some of the landmarks and attractions in the city are the Dublin Laurens Museum, Theatre Dublin, Jefferson Baptist Church, Pine Forest United Methodist Church, Buckeye Park, and the Southern Pines Recreation Complex. Visitors can choose among the many hotels that the city has to offer – Comfort Inn, Jameson Inn-Dublin, Red Carpet Inn Dublin, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites. - Browse the Dublin (Georgia) Map or compare Dublin (Georgia) accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
