Duisberg has a lovely zoo, the intriguing Movie Park Germany and a Sea Life Aquarium as well as skating opportunities at the Alpine Centre in Bottrop. Skiing can be done in summer here, while golfing and paragliding are major sports activities. A thrilling music event is hled twice yearly as a beach party called Soul on the Beach. The Children’s Cultural Festival is an entertaining event kept annually in the city. Ruhr Triennale is one of the biggest festivals in Duisburg while the Duisburg Akzebte is a festival of cultural, social and political discussions. The city has a hyperactive nightlife with many wild parties, discos and bars opened until the wee hours of the morning.
