or Dunoon accommodation? The town of Dunoon is the seaside entryway to the Scottish Highlands, and as such, it can be tricky to get to! The best choice is usually to drive from Glasgow, although there are also trains and busses. While there are buses and taxis in the town, some of the attractions are a bit far flung, so having a car will make things easier. A great way to see the town is to take one of the Dunoon Treasure Trails, which lead you through the town, while solving clues. For something a little more sedate, you could choose to explore the Benmore Botanical Gardens, which is one hundred and thirty acres of plant life, including an amazing conifer collection. The town is also known for its ceramics, and there is a shop in Argyll Street that sells locally made mugs and other ceramics, and then head off to Chatters Restaurant or the View, which has a great view over the Clyde. The Argyll Hotel and other small hotels serve the area, but since they are often crowded with coaches of tourists, many visitors opt for a smaller, cozier, and less busy bed and breakfast. - Browse the Dunoon Map or compare Dunoon accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
