A favorite destination in Edgartown is South Beach. Located around 2.5 miles from the town’s city center, it runs the entire southern length of the island. This public beach is a good place for surfing though visitors may also soak in the sun’s rays on the shore or take a dip in the water. An interesting fact about Edgartown is that it was the main location of Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster movie, “Jaws.”
