United Kingdom)
or Falkirk accommodation? Falkirk is a town in Stirlingshire, Scotland, that is famous for having the only rotating boat lift in the world. It does not, however, have an airport, and if you are planning a visit, you will need to fly to Glasgow or Edinburgh, and then take a train, bus, or boat. The biggest attraction in Falkirk, since it was built in 2001, is the Falkirk Wheel, and it is possible to take a trip on a boat, on the wheel. There is also a visitor’s center, gift shop, and snack bar, and it is a great outing if you are travelling with kids. The Antonine Wall, built by Emperor Antonius Pius in around 160 AD, is also a popular attraction, although there are a limited number of places where you can see it – even though it runs through, or under, the town. Tollbooth Street, off High Street, has the distinction of being the shortest in the UK, and the Steeple, the clock tower on High Street, is another historic landmark, once, or so they say, the site of floggings and hangings. - Browse the Falkirk Map or compare Falkirk accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
