or Faro accommodation? The town of Faro is a beach, party town on the Algarve coast of Portugal, popular with visitors from all over Europe, and further afield. Faro Airport is the main point of entry to the city, although trains and buses also run from Lisbon, or you could drive to the town as well. Other than the beach, there are some interesting historic sites in Faro as well. One of these is the Centro Historico – the Old City. Here you will find cobbled streets and 18th century Moorish and Portuguese architecture. The Igreja do Como Church also offer a macabre, but fascinating sight, in the form of the Capela dos Ossos, which is lined with the bones of over a thousand monks. Praia de Faro, the beach, is where most people gravitate to in this town though. The sand stretches for several kilometers, so even though it’s busy, it’s hardly ever too full, and there are stalls and public bathroom facilities.
