The village of Ano Merià is broaden over refined fields and has classic kafeneio and taverns. It has also a Folkloristic Museum.
Start your evening with a cocktail or an ouzo in one of the bars where the view as the sun goes down is almost a match for the amazing sunset. Stroll through the charming arched alleyways of the old town and mingle with the locals, as walking this island will be a pleasure to you as the nature and its perfumes, and its silence are really exceptional. In springtime and early summer the island is rich with caper flowers, thyme and oregano.
Folegandros has nice beaches, you need to walk a bit, or rent a boat. Two beaches in which you may enjoy are the Karavostasi and Angali Beaches.
The festival of Folegandros Island is an annual extravaganza that features live performances and exhibitions through the limelight of work shops. The Easter and Christmas seasons are filled with various events that is worth you seeing and experiencing.
