or Fowey accommodation? This small fishing town is on the south coast of Cornwall, situated at the mouth of the Fowey River. One has to do a lot of walking up and down, as it is built on the west side of a steep valley. In summer the place comes alive, and the many pubs and restaurants are well used. The Fowey Regatta, which is held in August, attracts many yachts and sailing boats. Fowey is about 5 miles from St Austell and Lostwithiel and there are a few buses, though infrequent, to this area. As the town is so small, walking is the easiest way to get around, but there are taxis available, and a taxi service during the summer, which the Town Quay and car parks. Some of the many restaurants are Sams Restaurant, Food for Thought and The Globe. There are many good pubs where one can enjoy a variety of drinks to suit all tastes. Some of these pubs are The Lugger, The Ship Inn and The Galleon.
