United States)
or Fremont (Ohio) accommodation? Fremont is a city located on Sandusky County, Ohio, and is one of the few U.S. Tree Cities. Situated on the banks of the Sandusky River, Fremont offers a culturally-rich land that once was home to Crawford, Seneca, Ottawa, and Wyandotte Indians. Referred to by the Indians in the 1600s as “jungquendendah” or a “place of peace”, Fremont has become one of the bustling and significant areas in the United States.
Quaint and still a place of peace, tourists often drop by the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center, which is one of the main points of interest in the city. The 25 acres of the 19th President’s estate is also the location of the Hayes Museum and Library which is filled with artifacts that tell of President Hayes’ life, as well as a number of Civil War and Native American memorabilia. Every year, a small reenactment of the trials and life during the American Civil War is performed on the grounds of Hayes Presidential Center. As an added bonus, the city is also close to other attractions like the Lake Erie and the Cedar Point Amusement Park.
