or Hemel Hempstead accommodation? The town of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire, England, may have come into it’s own after the second world war, but it’s been a human settlement since around the 8th century. Today, it’s a bustling town of around eighty thousand residents, that easily reached by train, bus or car, and where a good public transport system makes getting around easy. One of the most famous attractions, of sorts, that Hemel has to offer, is the ‘Magic Roundabout.’ It’s here that six major routes converge. The Old Town Hall, and indeed, much of the Old Town, with it’s historic houses and buildings, is also well worth visiting. The Three Horseshoes Pub, about a fifteen minute walk up the Grand Canal that runs through town, dates back to the 16th century, and is a nice place for a meal, or to have a beer overlooking the canal. There are also more modern attractions and activities, like ten pin bowling, ice skating, clubs and more, most of which are housed in the leisure centre called Jarman Park. As for accommodation, Hemel has a Travelodge, Ramada, Holiday Inn Express and Premier Hotel, as well as many smaller establishments, guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and more, so there is something for every budget and taste. - Browse the Hemel Hempstead Map or compare Hemel Hempstead accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
