or Huntingdon (England) accommodation? The market town of Huntingdon, in Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, first received its charter from the king in 1205. Since then, it has been an important local community, and is famous as the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell. Huntingdon is easy to reach, since it is connected to London by the railway. The airports at Luton and Stansted are also both less than an hour’s drive away from the town. Founded by the Saxons and the Danes, there are several medieval buildings and structures that are well worth visiting in Huntingdon. One is the bridge over the River Ouse, and another is Hitchingbrooke House, which was once a convent, and is said to be haunted by the spirits of one of the ghosts. Portholme Meadow, England’s largest meadow, and the home to rare species of dragonfly and butterfly, as well as other animals and plants, is also near the town. There is also a horseracing course, the Huntingdon Racecourse, for those who fancy a day at the races. - Browse the Huntingdon (England) Map or compare Huntingdon (England) accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
