Imperia boasts the two historical districts Porto Maurizio and Oneglia, which lie on either side of the River Impero that gives the city its name.
Some of Porto Mauizio main attractions are the classical St. Maurice Cathedral, the Santa Chiara convent, the naval museum and a charming town called Parasio; while Oneglia’s attractions include the Olive Tree Museum, the San Giovanni Battista church and the Villa Groock.
