Other attractions are the Old Castle and several towers from the gothic fortifications, including 13th to 14th century the Powder Tower, the House of Friedrich Schiller and his Wedding Church and the Botanischer Garten Jena, which was founded in 1580, and is the second oldest botanical garden in Germany. There is also a restaurant and viewing platform at the 27th floor. Jena has many museums which include the Optical Museum Jena which deals with the history of optical instruments; Schott Glass Museum, and City museum Göhre. The city is also host to Kulturarena which is an annual music festival held in front of the theatre and the Jenaer Philharmonie which is the largest independent symphony orchestra in Thuringia.
