or Jonkoping accommodation? This is a picturesque town situated on the southern tip of Sweden’s second largest lake, Lake Vatternand is a beautiful place to just walk about and admire the view, especially at sunset. A sandy beach actually runs through the town adding to its beauty.
Get there by plain to Skavsta Airport and a three hour trip by bus. Or take a train from Malmo. As the city center is relatively small, walking around or travelling by bicycle is recommended.
Jonkoping is the birthplace of the safety match and the old match factory is still standing alongside the match museum and is well worth a visit. There is also the radio museum if you are interested. There are a few resturants offering regional cuisine and at night there is Huset, a trendy nightclub with two bars. For the older folk there is Hyde Park Corner playing chart music and oldies.
Elmia is a major fair and exhibition center in Jonkoping and more recnetly it has been the site of the world’s biggest LAN party called DreamHack.
