Poland)
or Karpacz accommodation? The town of Karpacz is located in the Jelenia Gora area of Poland, and, at over four hundred meters above sea level, and being in the Karkonosze Mountains, it’s fast becoming a popular tourist alternative to the Alps. Skiing, sledding and snowboarding are popular attractions in the area, and, with the one thousand, six hundred and two meter Mount Sneska-Snieska just south of the town itself, it is growing in popularity as a base for hikers and mountain climbers. The Norwegian stave church that is located in Karpacz Gorny, and which was relocated from Vang in Norway in the 19th century is an interesting historic attraction. Alternatively, if folklore and legend interests you, then you may want to find out more about Rubezahl, who was, according to local legend, a giant who lived in the area. Karpacz is a small town, with around five thousand residents, so do not expect to find any large hotel chains or commercial shops and restaurants. There are some nice resorts in the area though, and it is a great place to enjoy winter sports, if you would rather avoid the crowds at some of the alpine resorts. - Browse the Karpacz Map or compare Karpacz accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
