There are daily flights into the city from several large cities in Turkey, and with trains and buses from major centers, Kayseri is easy to reach. Also near the city, and popular with skiers, is Mount Erciyes, which is the second highest peak in Turkey, at nearly four thousand meters. So if you like skiing, make sure you pay a visit. Another major attraction in the city are carpets, and it is even possible to buy hand woven silk carpets, although they do come with a hefty price tag. When it comes to accommodation, if you are looking for five star luxury, then the Hilton Kayseri is your only option.
