Mission Creek Greenway is worth a visit and the annual hill climb to Knox Mountain is quite an exhilarating event.
A trip to any of Kelowna’s wineries is highly recommended. At Mission Hill or Summer Hill Winery for example, you can get a taste of the unique blends of wines produced in Kelowna. The Kelowna Art Gallery, Community Theatre and Museum provide an interesting insight into the history and rich cultural heritage of Kelowna. The Kelowna Hydrofest in August on the Okanagan Lake is a hydroplane boat race in the American Boat Racing Association season which promises a lot of fun and laughter. There is also the annual wakeboarding competition, Wakefest, in July.
