Festivals and events in Kozani include the Kozani carnival which is one of the most significant events in the region, happening at the closing of the winter season. At the end of summer Lassaneia Events are organised. They consist of theatrical representations, concerts and athletic events. Niaimeros is a fair in the north of the city in the Niaimeros place which takes splace on the first Tuesday of October.
