It is a laid back, friendly and pleasant community of around twenty thousand people, popular for its beaches, as well as its culture. The town is around fifteen miles from John Wayne Airport, and it is on the Pacific Coast highway, which means getting in by car or bus is easy too. There are buses in town, as well as a free shuttle service in the summer, so getting around is not a problem either. If you do choose to hire a car, however, be aware that parking can be difficult to find. Scuba diving and surfing are both popular activities in Laguna Beach, and there is also a tide pool at Moss Street that is great for families with children. Arts are another big attraction in Laguna Beach, and the Art-a-Fair, Festival of the Arts, and Pageant of the Masters are all festivals dedicated to the arts, that are held in the summer. You will find many restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs in Laguna Beach, however, be warned that they can be quite expensive.
