Being in Mauritius, Le Morne has very beautiful scenery, and much to see and do. There are lots of activities in and around the peninsula, including surfing, kitesurfing, fishing, deep-see fishing, many more outdoor activities, to keep the visitor busy, and, of course, just lazing around and relaxing on the beautiful beaches.
The enormous basaltic rock, which stands 556 metres above sea level, is one of the most imposing sights in the area. One of the most rare plants in the world, the Mendrinette, is found here, which is one of only three refuges of the plant. There is another very rare plant, the Trochetia Boutoniana, which only grows on the side of the mountain.
