United States)
or Lexington (Virginia) accommodation? The city of Lexington is an independent one in the Rockbridge County in Virginia. It has nearly seven thousand residents, and lies very near the border with West Virginia. The city was an important one in the history of the United States, and in fact, Stonewall Jackson both lived in the town, and is buried there. These days, the town is engaged in more peaceful pursuits, including higher education, as a location for filmmakers, and for tourism. Films like Somersby and War of the Worlds have been filmed in part or in their entirety in the town. The Virginia Military Institute, however, remains one of Lexington’s most popular attractions, although others, like the natural bridge, the Washington and Lee University and others are also worth visiting. All in all, Lexington is a pleasant, interesting little town, and there are more than enough options for accommodation and entertainment, as well as sites of interest, to explore. - Browse the Lexington (Virginia) Map or compare Lexington (Virginia) accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
