During winter there are skating, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoe trekking, and snow tubing.
If you are looking for something more relaxed, you can visit the Aigle Castle; it dates back to the 12th century and is home to the Vaud Vine and Whine Museum. Alternatively, walk around in the village, buying souvenirs and sampling local chocolate. Have a meal 2000 meters above sea level in a revolving restaurant atop the Berneuse. Alternatively, enjoy happy hour(s) at the Base Camp Bar between 4pm – 7pm.
Accommodation is freely available all year round. According to travelers, the best place to lay one’s hat is the Hiking Sheep Guesthouse in Villa La Joux.
