It was again incorporated in 1994 but was again dissolved in 2001 – with 80% of those who voted wanting the dissolution and de-incorporation of the city and transferring its assets to the county.
The main attraction and recreational area in Lithia Springs is the Sweetwater Creek State Park. There are playgrounds, hiking trails, and picnic pavilions all over the park. Inside the park, visitors can also see the George Sparks Reservoir and the ruins of the Manchester Mill. Another popular park located near the Sweetwater Creek is the Woodrow Wilson Park/Lithia Springs Girls Ball Field which is actually located close to several homes and apartments. Six Flags, an amusement park, is also a very popular destination.
