The small town of Lixouri was constructed on the site where the ancient city of Pali used to stand, which was one of the four principal cities of Kefalonia during Antiquity. The main square of the village is Plateia Petritsi and is encircled by many cafes and bars that are full of animation. During the daytime the main activity basically is just relaxing on the beach.
