or Llanwrtyd Wells accommodation? The village of Llanwyrtyd Wells started out as a farming community in Wales, around the 11th century parish of St David Church. Sometime later, around the 19th century, the population of the area decided to concentrate in the area around the sulfur springs that are still located a short distance from the church. It is the wells, with their rumored restorative and curative properties, that bring most of the visitors to the area every year, although there are some that come to visit the River Irfon as well. This little village is accessible by rail, and the original church still stands, albeit next to a new bridge across the river. Do not expect any commercial attractions or pursuits in the town of Llanwyrtyd Wells. What you will find however is a taste of the real Wales, and a chance to sample the spring waters. It is also a great way to get away from the rigors of modern life. - Browse the Llanwrtyd Wells Map or compare Llanwrtyd Wells accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
