or Malgrat de Mar accommodation? The town of Malgrat de Mar is located on the coast of Spain, in the Catalonian district of Maresme. It lies about midway between Blanes and Santa Susanna, and was first founded in the 13th century, making it both a historic site, and a beautiful seaside destination. To reach the town, the easiest method is the railway, which passes through the town en route from Barcelona to Macanet-Massanes. Once in town, however, walking should get you to most of the attractions, as this is a relatively small town. The Cathedral of the Coast, or Esglesia de Sant Nicholau, is one of the historic buildings that is a must see, and in fact, since it is so large, it is a local landmark that is hard to miss. La Cooperativa, which is another historic building, is now the library, and there are a variety of other old buildings, some dating back to the middle ages, dotted throughout the town.
