Maratea’s medieval square acts as an open air museum with its historical buildings.

Wine bars, cafés, stores, restaurants, and gelato shops can be found on Maratea’s main streets while the night life activities hit the road in summer. The season also starts off with entertaining evening summer concerts at the churches. In mid-May, the main festival known as the Festival of San Biagio attracts thousands of people from all over.
