He was also the one who built the railroads running into the city.The city is now a thriving economic center in Oklahoma and is the state’s eleventh largest city. It is home to the port of Muskogee, which is operated by the Oklahoma government. Attractions to visit in the city include the Five Civilized Tribes Museum, which is home to relics and artifacts from the histories of the Five Civilized Tribes that settled in the area, and Honor Heights Park, a World War I memorial park. The park is the famous home to several festivals and events, among them Azalea festival celebrating the azaleas that grow naturally on the park, as well as of the winter Christmas lights display that transforms the park into the Garden of Lights. Music lovers will find the Oklahoma Music Hall an interesting place to visit. Other places and sites worth a look include the Ataloa Lodge Museum, USS Batfish, Three Rivers Museum and the Castle of Muskogee.
