or Nairn accommodation? Nairn is an ancient fishing and market town in the Scottish Highlands. It has a long and illustrious history, and is now a popular tourist destination. The town is easily reached on the Aberdeen to Inverness railway line, and in fact, the station, which was built in 1855, is a landmark in its own right. The town is relatively small, but it does boast a museum, two championship golf courses, a theater, and the impressive St Ninians Church, as well as other interesting sights and attractions. For a touch of local culture, make sure that you are in town for the Highland Games, which are held annually, and are one of the largest of their kind in the north. Alternatively, in August, there is the Nairn International Jazz Festival, which should appeal to music fans. The town of Nairn is also home to well known actress, Tilda Swinton, and this well know star of films like the Chronicles of Narnia recently launched a film festival in Nairn too. - Browse the Nairn Map or compare Nairn accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
