Not what one would call a bustling metropolis by any stretch, this little town has just fewer than eight hundred permanent residents. Once a popular spa resort destination, with tourists flocking to the area in the 19th and early 20th centuries, to test the pure mountain water, which allegedly has healing and curative properties, it has seen a slight decline in popularity, as visitors to (and from) Spain seek out the warm beach destinations instead.
