Puerto Montt Accommodation

The lake crossing between the lake districts of Chile and Argentina known as Cruce de Lagos attracts many visitors yearly. The Navimag three day cruises are a must do with trips to Puerto Natales via the fjord and excursions to Laguna San Rafael on passenger ferries. Skiing on the volcano at Parque Nacional Hornopirén can be quite an adventure while the protected forests of Parque Nacional Alerce Andino, known as the Lord of the Rings and the Parque Nacional Chiloé make for nice excursions. A trip to Chiloé Island is highly recommended as not only is it South America’s largest island, but there are several; water sports activities such as kayaking and fishing, walking tours, and several intriguing legends of sea monsters coupled with the beautiful palafitos buildings and traditional wooden churches. The Peluco Beach and Tenglo Island are must sees.
