It is a posh and scenic resort with miles of attractive beaches, lavish hotels, fabulous restaurants and dazzling nightlife on the southern part of Uruguay. One interesting sight is the La Mano, an enormous concrete hand sculpture that juts out of the sands of the Atlantic. Another significant icon of the city is the Casa Pueblo the “living sculptor”, an art work of an Uruguayan painter and sculptor sitting atop Punta Ballena. Visit the Parque Municipal Zoologico Medina that has interactive exhibits that children will surely enjoy.
